Very old non-Tokaji
Although not my focus of interest, occasionally we discover very old bottles that are interesting. Here are some of them:
1825 Honey wine (Mead) from the Fukier cellar
The only known bottle of mead from the Fukier celler and possibly the oldest bottle of mead in the world.

1684 Ruster Ausbruch from the Fukier celler
A very rare bottle of old Ausbruch from Rust (today Austria) made one year after ther second Turkish siege of Vienna. Possibly the oldest bottle of Austrian wine in the world.

1895 Red Aszú from the Ménes
region
Red aszú was produced in the Ménes region in Transsylavnia, Romania (formerly Hungary). Until recently it was thought that not a single bottle has survived but today 4 bottles are known. All unopened, so neither tasted nor analyzed.

1901 Ászú from the Beregszász region
A very rare bottle of an Aszú from a wine making region some 90km east of Tokaj, todday part of UIkraine. This extraordinary wine was filled into bottle with glass seal of the Austrian Imperial Cellar (k.u.k. Hofkeller).
